Born and raised in San Francisco, CA, Har Kwan Luk is an accomplished photographer and digital artist with a focus on the delicate balance of reality and imagination. Her digital work has been featured in the books Reality and Imagination, Guerrilla Manifestos, and Light Painting for iPad.

Har Kwan Luk’s journey
In the summer of 2014 Har Kwan Luk began to explore a new creative direction with a project called, Instagram Reflections. Her work in this new medium allowed her to create larger scale photographic works that were both more conceptual and emotional. She focused on the concept of social media and the relationships between humans and their surroundings.
When Har Kwan Luk’s work is released
In the spring of 2018, Har released her first photographic work since returning to her art form- a large format photographic series called, “The Global Village”. This large-scale work was created exclusively for the dia dia wall in the main hall of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The staging of this work was inspired by famous artworks such as, “The Scream,” “The Origin of Art,” and “The Screaming Heart”.
